So it's that time of the year again, the one where normality resumes after it's long and arduous seven and a half weeks off. I'm sure that the people who decided that Summer break should be that long can't have been a parent! It's been a fun Summer this year even if it hasn't been filled with a load of stuff, we have crossed off SOME of the to do things that the kids listed before the term finished in July. The uniforms are new and pristine white and everything is ready to go, the haircut is done and the shoes have been purchased now there is only one more sleep and then that's it! Autumn term begins.
K and M are going into year 6 on Wednesday and it's so hard to believe that this time next year it will be senior school! Then it will be girls, staying out later and parties following shortly after, it's such a shame that they grow up so fast. Doesn't seem like 2 minutes ago that I was depositing K at nursery for the first time and trying to sneak off as he cried and wondered why Mum was leaving him there ALONE! Now he's old enough to walk with his friends as school is only a few minutes walk from our house and they all walk together so it's kinda cute!
I'm kind of sad that the holidays have ended as I never feel like I have spent enough time with them but it will be nice to get back into a proper routine! How about you, are you looking forward to it?
